Job Summary:
The Reliability Engineer (Mechanical) is responsible for ensuring the dependability, functionality, and performance of mechanical systems and equipment within our organization. This role involves analyzing data, conducting inspections, developing maintenance strategies, and implementing improvement plans to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform detailed analysis of mechanical systems, components, and equipment to identify potential reliability issues and develop improvement plans.
2. Conduct regular inspections and assessments of mechanical assets, including visual inspections, testing, and data collection.
3. Utilize various tools and methodologies (such as Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance) to identify and address potential failures/deficiencies.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
5. Evaluate equipment performance metrics and provide recommendations for optimization, repair, or replacement.
6. Monitor and analyze equipment performance data, identifying trends and patterns to predict and prevent potential failures.
7. Participate in the design and modification of mechanical systems, ensuring their reliability, maintainability, and safety.
8. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment manuals, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures.
9. Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance teams, assisting with complex repairs or troubleshooting activities.
10. Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in mechanical reliability engineering.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a Reliability Engineer or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
4. Proficient in using reliability engineering tools and methodologies, such as Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and Reliability Centered Maintenance.
5. Solid understanding of maintenance practices and strategies, including preventive and predictive maintenance.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information to stakeholders.
9. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
10. Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to mechanical reliability engineering.
